Epsecially in these times of so much talk about "financial crisist" and "doom and gloom", I found huge refuge in realizing that it is (and has been) the Lord's will that all of us should have our “barns full” at all times (2 corinthians 9:8) and that He is our Provider in this very (and every) thing! He fills our barns, “mak[ing] every grace abound to you that in all things at all times, having all that you need [that] you will about in every good work.” So my understanding of God's provision had to grow, because this was huge! (I was doing good to trust Him for the month's expenses!)
But even more, we can know how His provision works for this (and every) kind of “endeavor”: Luke 6:38 “GIVE, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Proverbs 3:9-10: “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your BARNS WILL BE FILLED to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” He is all in all. He tells us the plan, then he tells us how. And it always is what He GIVES, not what we earn! Thank God, or I'd never get there!
I am just glad that any "crisis talk" can jolt me to realize what God's plan has been all along..... that we should have more than enough at ALL times …. in a full “barn.” “Abundantly more than we would ever ask or think!”
